The work ‘WhatGirl’ takes as point of departure the interest in contemporary media dynamics and their aesthetic forms. Within the film, Dittmayer conflates the tropes of farm live — a motif that references the 2020 microtrend cottage core — with the narrative markers of mediatised lifestyle content. // Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit „WhatGirl“ ist das Interesse an zeitgenössischen Mediendynamiken und deren ästhetischen Formen. Im Film verbindet Dittmayer die Tropen des Bauernhoflebens – ein Motiv, das auf den Cottage-Core-Mikrotrend 2020 verweist – mit den narrativen Markern mediatisierter Lifestyle-Inhalte.
Die Arbeit wurde bei der Gruppenausstellung “Saturn Oppositions“ in Offenbach, Juni 2023 gezeigt.
