Beschwörung is the german word for incantation and concludes the time periods of my studies in Kassel, the Corona-Isolation and the writing process of my novel „Gründämmerung“. It is a salmagundi of live music, vocals, dance, virtual Reality and Projection. Percussionist Lukas Prelle improvizes with me to a set of tracks, that I produced as reading music to „Gründämmerung“.

In reciprocal conjuring we tell a story about the Crown-of-thorns Starfish

invading a new ecosystem. By this metaphor I tried to reflect about the pandemic time, without making vain contributions to overtaxed Corona-Talks. Beschwörung shouldn’t be a lament to what the pandemic has taken. Instead, it is a celebration of returning public events and performative art.

Die Performance wurde am 1. Juni im Gießhaus Kassel aufgeführt und verbindet Musik, VR, Projektion und Tanz. Im Fokus steht die Reflexion der Corona Zeit, erzählt anhand meeresbiologischer Metaphern.
